Comedy Night- Thursday November 21st

This November our headliners are JJ Whitehead and Billy Mitchell. Darryl Shaw will be hosting this event and will be joined by Andrew Pellett and  Robyn Nicholson from Jet FM.

Jason John Whitehead has been performing his brand of Stand Up Comedy all over the world for 12 years now. With more stamps in his passport than most comedians he is a regular at International Comedy Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, Holland and his home country of Canada. A regular headliner on the British and International circuit, Jason has headlined prestigious clubs such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Highlight, The Glee Clubs, and Yuk Yuks.To date he has recorded two full length comedy albums which can be found rated on itunes and he also has a TRIPLE length, yes that's TRIPLE length DVD available through his web site.

In 2012 JJ recently finished a world tour of his critically acclaimed one man show 'Letters From Mindy' and has joined his friends and former flat mates Jim Jefferies and Steve Hughes on their tours to wrap the year. His final shows of 2012 will be performed close to where he grew up in Halifax Nova Scotia. 2013 should prove just as adventurous for JJ as he plans a return to several of the festivals that helped him build his name. Billy Mitchell is a Writer, Actor & Stand-up comedian specializing in clean humour for corporate, community, and festival shows. Billy has been entertaining audiences across Canada and internationally with his versatile stand-up comedy for more than 2 decades.
Experience: Billy Mitchell has appeared on national television, radio, stage, and the internet. Billy is the only Canadian Comedian to have ever performed in Cambodia, entertaining UN Peacekeepers from around the world. He’s also appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and featured at Comedy Clubs all over Canada. Recently, Billy appeared as the Awards MC (how appropriate) in Hiccups on CTV and the Comedy Network. He also performed as Announcer and in sketches on the Brent Butt Comedy Special, also on CTV. Billy has just returned from entertaining on Norwegian Cruise Lines in the Caribbean and Alaska and hosted the Main Stage at the Richmond O Zone, an official celebration site of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.He is also a regular columnist for BC Homes Magazine.
Not just a stand-up comedian, Billy Mitchell also performs improvisational comedy with members of Vancouver Theatresports League, and was nominated “Best Actor” for his portrayal of John Barrymore in Vertigo Theatre’s production of “I Hate Hamlet” Billy Mitchell has also written television sketch comedy for the Award Winning “Funny Pages”, and produced daily comedy segments for CICF Radio.
